The Park Tavern & Restaurant
The Park Tavern and Restaurant, lovingly referred to as “Park Tav” by its many loyal customers, has been an institution in Denver’s Capitol Hill for 20 years.
Known and admired for their unmatched drink specials (stop by on Tuesdays for $2 you-call-it!) and free games of pool, the Park Tavern owner, Louie Belegratis, turned to Interior Designer Chelle Maestas of StudioM2 and Denver Modern to give the place a complete interior and exterior overhaul while still maintaining all of the charm and affordability that has awarded this Cap Hill staple its many regulars.
The extensive remodel gives Park Tavern’s guests access to a brand new rooftop bar and patio, sliding floor-to-ceiling windows on the first floor that open up to a sidewalk patio, a brand-new dining room featuring our custom tables and chairs, and a huge steel-framed bar surrounded by our custom bar stools.
All of the table tops were made from a reclaimed oak that came from a cargo bed floor, giving both the material and Park Tav a refreshing second life.
Our spacious barstools, shown here in walnut, were chosen for their comfort and style while the dark walnut tones pair nicely with the reclaimed cargo floor. For the patio and rooftop area, we made sturdy and practical matte black tables and chairs to withstand the always-changing Colorado weather.
“It was out with the green awning, leather booths and ’70s-seafood-restaurant barstools, and in with a sleek, modern wood-and-stainless-steel theme from top to bottom,” wrote Westword’s Sarah McGill on Park Tavern’s upscale transition.
On top of a fresh new interior, Park Tavern boasts a delicious new menu, including breakfast and brunch!
