Shipping and Delivery Types and Fees
Ensuring you have a seamless experience where orders arrive promptly and in excellent condition is critical at Denver Modern. We offer two primary shipping options, plus local pickups and local deliveries. Please note we do not ship to PO Boxes and shipping is available for customers within the contiguous 48 states.

**Tip: We try our best to design pieces that ship as conveniently as possible, all while fully assembled and carefully packaged: Vail Counter Stools and Vail Dining Chairs can go ground with Fedex. Oversized pieces, like the Vail Lounge Chair, will ship freight when Standard Shipping is selected.**
In specific locations, we utilize a Third-Party Logistics Provider (3PL) to facilitate Standard (Threshold) Shipping and Local In-Home Deliveries. When a 3PL is involved in handling your order, we will communicate this to you during the order confirmation process.
The availability of local pickup and delivery options varies depending on the specific product, location, and other factors. The available alternatives will be presented to you during the checkout process based on your shipping address.
We hope you are thrilled with your purchase! In the case you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, however, please contact [email protected] to return or exchange your item(s) within 30 days of the delivery date.
We do not refund original shipping charges. The cost of your return shipping will be deducted from your return. All returns & exchanges must be postmarked within 30-days of the initial delivery date.
All items must be sent back in the original packaging. If the original packaging is unavailable, the customer is responsible for arranging equivalent packaging. Items must be in new condition, meaning they are in unused/unwashed condition and show no signs of wear.
Once your item is received back to Denver Modern your item(s) will be inspected. After inspection, any exchanges, credits, or refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with applicable laws. Delivery fees are non-refundable except for manufacturer defects or transit damage. Denver Modern reserves the right to refuse returns or exchanges of items that are not in as-new condition due to damage or misuse by the client. Custom made products and customization of any product from original cannot be refunded once the order is placed.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS FOR PROMOTIONAL SALES
Items purchased with discounts above 50% during promotional sales are considered FINAL SALE and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. This includes merchandise purchased with any limited-time discount that exceeds 50% off the original price. Please review your order carefully before completing the purchase, as items marked as FINAL SALE are non-returnable and non-refundable. For questions regarding eligibility, feel free to contact our customer support team.
CANCELLATIONS
Orders that have not shipped from the Denver Modern warehouse can be canceled at any time. Orders that are in transit to the customer may not be canceled and are considered a return. Custom made products such as Custom Tables (Wishbone, V Leg, Vista, Cove, 9090), Artwork, and customization of any product from original cannot be refunded once the order is placed.
EXCHANGES
If you wish to exchange your received items for another product on denvermodern.com, you may do so by notifying us within 30 days of receiving the original product. Please contact [email protected] to initiate an exchange within this timeframe. The customer is responsible for the shipping charge of the new product and we cannot refund the original shipping charge. The appropriate refund, or additional charges, will be applied accordingly for the difference between the exchanged product and the newly selected product. Please contact us in advance at [email protected].
SPECIAL ORDERS & MADE TO ORDER
The following cannot be canceled, changed, returned, or refunded: Special orders, custom made products, Made to Order products, items that have been assembled in your home, and designated final sale items.
PREPARING YOUR RETURN
Denver Modern reserves the right to refuse returns or exchanges of items that are not in as-new condition due to misuse by the client. All items must be shipped back securely within their original, protective outer packaging/parcel, and internal protective material or items must be repackaged with adequate, protective material and an outer box/parcel without exception. Damaged and unpackaged returns will not be accepted.
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS
It is the customers responsibility to thoroughly inspect items at the time of delivery. When items are delivered via appointment - either Curbside Freight Carrier, or In-Home Delivery (White Glove) - you will be asked to sign a Proof of Delivery document accepting the items in good condition.
For any missing or damaged items, contact Denver Modern immediately at [email protected] and take pictures for reference. During the delivery, you must denote any and all issues on the Proof of Delivery, as outlined below. If the Proof of Delivery is signed and issues are not notated, Denver Modern is not responsible for any damages found after delivery is completed.
If you receive an item that has a defect, please notify us within 48 hours so we may address the issue.
LOST PARCELS
In the event that the package is not received or lost but shows delivered to the shipping address associated with the order, Denver Modern will not be liable for non-receipt of goods or replacement of goods. Denver Modern will assist in filing a trace and claim with the respective carrier to assist the client in locating lost parcels.
Parcels that are unclaimed or refused will be subject to applicable return and restocking fees and will not be considered canceled.
OVERSIZED ITEMS
Please ensure you have measured properly prior to placing any orders. Please reference the product page to ensure your piece will fit in your space and any doorways, hallways, and/or elevators it will have to pass through.

Orders that are refused at delivery due to sizing issues are considered a return. If the delivery team is unable to fit your order into your home, your order will be considered a return.
