Our Canyon Stool pairs a solid White Oak frame with a warm brass accent for a refined yet casual feel. Upholstered in Sunflower leather—a premium nubuck grain from New Zealand—each hide is waxed, oiled, then milled, sanded, and polished for a velvety texture that develops rich character with time.

A bold walnut frame with sleek black metal accents gives the Canyon Stool a contemporary edge. Maple Brown leather—exclusive to Denver Modern—is produced in Italy by seven generations of artisans, yielding a soft, rich surface that ages beautifully, much like a well-worn baseball glove.

Product Care
Sunflower Leather
To care for Sunflower Leather, begin by dusting it regularly with a soft cloth to remove any surface debris. If a deeper clean is needed, gently wipe with a damp cloth using warm water and a mild dish soap. Scratches can often be reduced by rubbing the area with a soft cloth or even your finger. If they prove stubborn, you may apply a small amount of heat with a hair dryer before rubbing the scratch. Avoid using any leather cleaners on Sunflower Leather; with time and use, it will develop its own rich patina, reflecting a life well-lived.

Maple Brown Leather
For Maple Brown Leather, start your routine cleaning by dusting with a soft cloth. When necessary, use a damp cloth with warm water and mild dish soap for any spots or stains. This premium leather will naturally develop character and a patina with regular use. Refrain from using leather cleaners, as they can affect the leather’s finish and slow its natural aging process.

Walnut & White Oak
Both Walnut and White Oak surfaces should be dusted with a dry microfiber cloth on a regular basis. If additional cleaning is required, gently wipe with a soft cloth dipped in warm, soapy water, then dry immediately to prevent water damage. Proper care of these natural wood surfaces will maintain their appearance and ensure they stand the test of time.

Shipping and Delivery Types and Fees

Ensuring you have a seamless experience where orders arrive promptly and in excellent condition is critical at Denver Modern. We offer two primary shipping options, plus local pickups and local deliveries. Please note we do not ship to PO Boxes and shipping is available for customers within the contiguous 48 states.

  • Standard (Threshold) Shipping: For customers who choose Standard Shipping, your order will be delivered outside your home or at the nearest accessible point of your delivery address.
     
  • Freight Carrier: If your order has large/oversized items or consists of 5+ items, it will be palletized to ensure it arrives safely. Your items will be delivered via freight carrier, who will call you directly to schedule a window of time for delivery and will require a signature. Commercial locations, businesses and apartments will also require a signature and a delivery appointment. Debris and the pallet will not be removed. 
  • Ground: If your order does not meet the above criteria, it will be delivered to your front door by Fedex. This option does not require a signature upon delivery. 

**Tip: We try our best to design pieces that ship as conveniently as possible, all while fully assembled and carefully packaged: Vail Counter Stools and Vail Dining Chairs can go ground with Fedex. Oversized pieces, like the Vail Lounge Chair, will ship freight when Standard Shipping is selected.**

  • In-Home Delivery: A professional team will carefully bring your order inside your home and place it in your desired location, while also removing any boxes and trash. In-Home Delivery carriers will call you directly to schedule a window of time for delivery and will require a signature. 
  • Local Pickup: Local pick ups are available to customers in Colorado. 
  • Local Delivery: Local deliveries can be selected for addresses within a 30-mile radius of our Denver warehouse. 

In specific locations, we utilize a Third-Party Logistics Provider (3PL) to facilitate Standard (Threshold) Shipping and Local In-Home Deliveries. When a 3PL is involved in handling your order, we will communicate this to you during the order confirmation process.

The availability of local pickup and delivery options varies depending on the specific product, location, and other factors. The available alternatives will be presented to you during the checkout process based on your shipping address.

Regrettably, the cover of the Canyon Counter Stools is non-removable.

Measuring for the perfect seating height is a breeze! Measure to the bottom of your counter or bar overhang to determine the ideal size for your stools. For standard counter height, measure 35” to 36” above floor level; measure 40” to 42” off the floor for bar height. By using these simple guidelines, you can ensure a comfortable and stylish fit for your space. Check out our blog for more information on Bar vs Counter Heights.

Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near a heat source to keep your leather seating looking its best. Rub out minor scratches lightly with a finger. Wipe any excess oil-based spots and spills with a clean, dry cloth. Do not apply water. Instead, leave the spot alone: In most cases, the spot should dissipate into the leather after some time. For permanent stains or thorough cleanings, we recommend contacting a leather specialist.

We have designed the Canyon Counter Stools legs to include a felt-tipped padding covering to reduce any scratching of hard floor surfaces. If you need replacement or missing levelers, contact us at [email protected].

To ensure a comfortable and practical seating arrangement, we suggest leaving a gap of 26" – 30" between the centers of each bar stool.
