Product Details

Built around a single quiet idea: a cantilevered blackened-steel or polished stainless steel-tubular frame, a softly upholstered seat and back, and the kind of thoughtful material relationship that makes a kitchen island feel designed. The slim profile keeps sightlines open across the room while the gently shaped back invites lingering — morning coffee, late afternoon snacks, dinner-prep conversations.

Four material conversations. The upholstery choices have two options - a chestnut brown leather shell with either a chestnut brown leather seat or flax linen seat. Both options feature naturally beautiful, tactile upholstery that will patina and soften with use.

The frame has two options - a more muted take in black metal or a lighter, textural shine element in polished stainless steel. Both are designed to age beautifully. Sized for standard counter heights and engineered for high-traffic daily use.

Materials

The Aspen Counter Stool is offered in two upholstery pairings and two frame finishes — each selected for tactile quality, durability, and modern appeal.

Chestnut Leather
• A pure aniline leather integrating pioneering tanning techniques to amplify its natural tactile qualities.
• An exquisitely soft, supple feel paired with a striking matte finish.
• Fits effortlessly across diverse applications, offering versatile sophistication, rustic elegance, and enduring character.
• Produced at a tannery in Northern Italy with seven generations of refined artisanry experience.
• Available as the seat and sling together, or as the sling paired with a Flax Linen seat.

Flax Linen
• A natural linen weave, woven openly enough that you can read the warp and weft with your eye.
• Flax fiber has an irregular structure that resists smooth spinning — precisely what produces linen's looser weave and highly textured surface.
• Undyed and minimally processed linen sits on a narrow, earthy spectrum from ivory through oatmeal, flaxen tan, and muted gray-brown, shaped by sun, moisture, and how the flax was retted.
• Offered as the seat, suspended within a Chestnut Leather sling.

Frame
• Matte Black — blackened steel tubing, a muted take that lets the stool recede into the room.
• Polished Steel — polished stainless steel tubing, a lighter, reflective element with subtle texture.
• Both finishes are designed to age beautifully.

A cantilevered tubular frame keeps the profile slim so sightlines stay open. Sized for standard counter height at 24.5" and engineered for high-traffic daily use. Contract grade.

Care & Assembly

Product Care
Chestnut Leather — Seat and Sling
• Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
• For light cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry promptly.
• Blot spills immediately; don't rub or saturate the hide.
• Minor scratches can often be reduced by gently rubbing with a soft cloth or finger.
• Avoid leather cleaners and conditioners, which can alter the matte finish.
• Aniline leather is uncorrected, so tone, grain, and natural markings vary and deepen into a patina with use.

Flax Linen Seat
• Vacuum regularly with a furniture nozzle on low suction; the open weave traps crumbs more readily than a tight fabric.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, colorfast cloth — linen absorbs quickly.
• Spot clean with a damp cloth or water-based upholstery cleaner, blotting rather than rubbing to protect the weave.
• Work outward from the edge of a spot to avoid leaving a ring.
• Avoid bleach and strong solvents. Do not tumble dry or iron.

Matte Black Frame
• Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, use a lightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
• Avoid abrasive pads, scouring cleaners, and polishes, which can wear through the blackened finish.

Polished Steel Frame
• Wipe with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, following the direction of the grain.
• For fingerprints or water spots, use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent spotting.
• Avoid abrasive pads and metal polishes; they will dull or scratch the polished surface.

Everyday Care
• Check that seat and footrest hardware stays snug; retighten as needed.
• Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading on both linen and leather.
• Lift rather than drag when moving. Use felt pads under the feet on hard flooring.
