• Every Reverie is genuinely unique. The tonal range runs warm honey to caramel, with dense grain movement across the door fronts.
• Mappa burl is harvested from the burls that form naturally on black poplar trees — irregular growths separated from the tree during standard forestry cycles. It is not cut from the trunk wood used for structural lumber, so the material is a byproduct of forestry rather than a driver of it.
• Applied to a stable, engineered core specifically designed to resist the seasonal movement that causes burl to check — dimensionally stable across climate zones.

Walnut

Construction

Mappa Burl Doors
• Care for the burl the same way you would any hand-finished hardwood. No specialty burl products are required.
• Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
• Wipe spills with a damp — not wet — cloth, then dry immediately.
• Avoid ammonia-based cleaners and silicone sprays.
• Natural variation in figure, knots, and swirl is the character of the material, not a defect.

Walnut Pedestals and Base
• Dust regularly with a dry microfiber cloth.
• For stubborn spots, lightly dampen the cloth, wipe clean, then dry promptly.
• Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, and excessive moisture to preserve the finish.

Placement
• Avoid direct sun for long stretches, and avoid placing the piece over an active heat vent or against a radiator.
• Under normal indoor conditions the doors stay flat and intact for the life of the piece.
• Consistent placement also prevents uneven fading between the burl fronts and the walnut base.

Interior and Hardware
• Wipe interior shelving with a dry or barely damp cloth.
