Measuring for the perfect seating height is a breeze! Measure to the bottom of your counter or bar overhang to determine the ideal height for your stools. For standard counter height, measure 35” to 36” above floor level; for bar height, measure 40” to 42” off the floor. What is the recommended care for the leather on the Vail Stools?

Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near a heat source to keep your leather seating looking its best. Rub out minor scratches lightly with a finger. Wipe any excess oil-based spots and spills with a clean, dry cloth. Do not apply water. Instead, leave the spot alone: In most cases, the spot should dissipate into the leather after some time. For permanent stains or thorough cleanings, we recommend contacting a leather specialist.

How do I keep the fabrics on the Vail Stool clean?

Boucle: Blot spills immediately with a clean, colorfast towel. Spot clean with a damp cloth or sponge, gently blotting to remove excess water, then air dry. The boucle is treated with DEFEND for maximum protection.

Our counter height stools feature a seat height of 25" in the front and 24" in the back of the seat, while our bar height stools offer a seat height of 30" in the front and 29" in the back of the seat. Our Vail Stools are designed to be versatile and can be used at both standard counter and bar heights. However, it is crucial to ensure that you select the appropriate size for your counter or bar to ensure a perfect fit.

Can I get the straps on the Vail Stools in another color?

Regrettably, we cannot accommodate requests for swapping out the existing leather straps with a different type of leather.

Is the cover on the Vail Stool washable?

Unfortunately, the cover cannot be washed as it is non-removable. However, you can still maintain the boucle fabric's cleanliness by spot-cleaning it with a damp cloth or sponge. Gently blot the affected area to remove excess water and allow it to air dry. Wipe any excess oil-based spots or spills on the leather with a clean, dry cloth. Please avoid using water on the leather.

How many can I fit at my counter or bar?

To ensure a comfortable and practical seating arrangement, we suggest leaving a gap of 26" – 30" between the centers of each bar stool. This allows for at least 8" – 10" of space between each seat, enabling easy ingress and egress without the risk of elbow collisions. This will ensure that your guests can enjoy their drinks and meals comfortably and without any discomfort.
